Rotulismo
[ EVIDENCE 01: AUDIOVISUAL RECORD ]
Case Statement
In many areas of Mexico, informal bus stops create daily chaos but the solution was already there, hidden in plain sight. “La Parada del Rotulismo” transforms traditional hand-painted signage into an official transit system. By repurposing rotulismo as a functional design tool, locals can turn informal stops into clear, recognizable bus stations. Using accessible templates, communities create and install their own signs, blending cultural identity with practical infrastructure. Each stop is also mapped digitally, bringing order to an unregulated system proving that design, rooted in culture, can solve real urban challenges.
